Seems quite ironic that the year I start a managerial game like this, it is my own team who are having the most trouble appointing someone following Steve Bruce's resignation having gotten sick of our horrid owners .

If rumours are to be believed, Zola could be the man. Interesting appointment that would be, preferable to Chris Coleman and Ryan Giggs! And no, I'm not anti-Welsh.

Zola will not get the job. Indeed, what will happen is the Allams will keep failing to attract people, and Mike Phelan will get the World Record for the longest serving caretaker manager. I am anti-Welsh. Also anti-Phillpott, anti-Green and anti-Swales.

I propose that the Goat Major is appointed manager, and that we adopt a Barry White lerv ballad as the official club song. On the other hand, if we have no players, then we don't really need a manager, two-legged, four-legged or otherwise.

In a remarkable turn of events, it would appear that Ehab is going to actually interview Phelan for the job, or at least pretend to. I would imagine that actually installing him will involve a pay rise which won't be allowed. I think it would be quite amusing if he declined the job and buggered off, just to see Ehab's next move. I might apply if so, I'm sure I can deal with the angry chants by joining in with them, call my players imbeciles and generally do everything expected of me in getting the club to qualify for the LDV Vans trophy, and maybe even the FA Vase.

I understand Ehab is director of football and there in true Allam cock up style, there is no manager as such. Which one will count when one buggers off? I can increasingly see the possibility of Ehab Allam football manager.
